With more than 600 industry event professionals descending into our area and only one night to showcase the beauty, history and charm of our expansive region, we had to create something that was far from expected. We knew that the charming town of Virginia City rich in history and overflowing with character would provide us with the perfect location to exceed the expectations of this group. The quaint shops of Main Street, the many museums, historic mines, mansions, gaming and the abundant variety of activities would provide something for everyone.
A parking lot was transformed on the main street of town into the heart of the event. This area housed the bars, food vendors and main stage. The backdrop was an unobstructed view of the valley below, and the original Catholic Church. The venue outside was set with red paisley bandana linens. Tents were set around the perimeter for the food and beverage vendors. Inside the historic saloon, guests were treated as Silver Barons themselves. Luxurious black and silver linens in heavy textures with detailed prints were selected to enhance the existing décor in the building. We worked with the florists to create an elaborate feeling of opulence. Hundreds of red roses were used throughout the space.
The client was a catering and event focused Association so additional food vendors came in to showcase current industry trends in appetizers and desserts. The local vendor was utilized for traditional BBQ fare.
