Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is a true year-round destination. With 300 days of sunshine annually, average summer temperatures of 77 degrees and 300-500 inches of snow falling on the surrounding peaks, Lake Tahoe offers ideal weather conditions for all four seasons. Scenic lake cruises and private yacht charters to Emerald Bay – one of the most photographed sites in the world – operate almost daily during all four seasons. Golf outings and tournaments can be arranged at the more than 15 courses in the area. Every summer Lake Tahoe is home to the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament and is visited by the likes of Charles Barkley, Ray Romano and Tony Romo. Once the snow starts falling, Lake Tahoe transforms into a winter mecca for world-class skiers and boarders, serving up the highest concentration of ski and snowboard resorts in North America. But those less outdoor oriented are not to be left out. Lake Tahoe has a weekly line up of headline entertainment ranging from grammy award winning artists to critically acclaimed performers. Add it all up and you've got Northern California's premier destination.

Reno

Reno is known as the Biggest Little City because it packs quite a punch when it comes to diversity of available activities and offers far more than expected in terms of meeting space and lodging. The city boasts 20,000 guest rooms within five miles of Reno-Tahoe International Airport with 6,500 of those within walking distance. Planners can select from a plethora of meeting venues ranging in size from a 30 person reception space to a 500,000 square foot convention center. Size isn't the only thing that matters though. Unique spaces abound such as the National Automobile Museum, National Bowling Stadium and the roof-top patio of the Nevada Museum of Art featuring unparalleled views of the Sierra Nevadas. But as with Lake Tahoe, who wants to waste Reno's 300 days of sunshine inside? Where else can a meeting be planned in the morning followed by a white water rafting team building session? Every week there is a new headliner performing and the city is abound with award winning dining venues. With such a variety of activities, lodging options and creative meeting spaces, meeting planners are faced with the question, "Why not Reno?" It's far from expected.
